Stratconsult SA has being registered in South Africa since 2004. It is a privately owned black business with a strong management team that report to a Board of Directors. The key areas of business are in the areas of small business development in the economically deprived and disadvantaged areas of Africa more specifically South Africa. Stratconsult SA currently has access to several consultants who can be recruited to engage in various Stratconsult sourced projects. The core management team of Stratconsult South Africa comprise internationally recognised skills in law, financial accounting, developmental economics, project management and administration. Due to the possible nature of consultancy work and dealing with projects around the continent a number of the team members are fluent in both English and French the two main languages of the World Bank and African Development Bank.

 

Key Areas of Business

Co-operatives: Design, registration and interventions in business management and training.


Company Structuring: Focus is mainly in the following area:
* Establishment and registration of relevant corporate structure.
* Assistance with funding applications from Banks and government and non governmental funding institutions
* Development of credible and bankable Business Plans
* Development of strategic plans- sales, business, HR etc. and assistance with implementation.


Sales Brokering: Securing sales contracts on behalf of clients in South Africa and other markets within the African continent. Securing sales contracts into the European Union and other international markets.


Collaboration with International Firms entering the African Market: Stratconsult SA and MEDF collaborate with carefully selected international firms to exploit various business opportunities identified within the African subcontinent in areas such as; Affordable Housing, Enterprise Development at community level, Primary healthcare and education.


HIV/AIDS Training and Workshops: Stratconsult SA has the ability, through the expert legal and socio-economic training of key consultants, to position itself to provide training to organisations on this extremely topical issue.


Matching buyers & sellers: StratconsultSAassists in the identification of credible buyers and sellers to ensure transformation in various business sectors of the South African economy.


Skills transfer:

Through the design and implementation of a carefully crafted skills transfer plan ensure we appropriate and adequate knowledge transfer as follows:


* From incumbent business owners to the new business owners (where a business is being acquired)

* From a team of skilled consultants who will train and coach small businesses and entrepreneurs on issues of corporate governance, business process and financial management.

 

Development of Business plans & Company valuations:  A credible and bankable business plan will be formulated for a business under consideration. Where an acquisition of an existing business is being considered we assist both buyers and sellers of businesses to evaluate a business under consideration and ensure that a fair and acceptable sales value is placed on the business.

 

Sourcing of funds: Dependant on the nature and ownership of the business, the Business Plan drafted by StratconsultSA will be used to source funds from Commercial Banks; Private Funders and Venture Capitalists with a Development Agenda; Developmental Banking Institutions and other empowerment funding institutions.
